Episode 4: Karl Monger (Executive Director, GallantFew, Inc)

SEF Speaker - Karl Monger

Social Services Entrepreneur and Societal Problem-Solver. Author. Speaker. Master Functional Emotional Fitness Coach. Army Ranger Veteran with ten years experience leading and training combat soldiers in the US Army, including three years as a personnel and planning officer in the 1st Ranger Battalion. Founded GallantFew, Inc – a nonprofit serving veterans to reduce suicides and increase employment. “Common Sense Transition” 2017. Owner/Principal of Transitur, LLC – helping corporations hire and integrate military veterans into their workforce; and helping small businesses start up and grow (especially veteran-owned).

Post-military, successful management, sales management, and personal sales experience in the construction equipment industry. Identified and implemented jobsite security initiatives which greatly reduced theft loss, and outside the box business opportunities added over 30% to annual revenues. Two years experience running local non-profit Big Brothers mentoring agency.

Local community involvement includes Metroport Rotary (President-elect), Metroport Chamber of Commerce, former member board of trustees for Wichita Chamber of Commerce Leadership Wichita program, former chairman of the board of deacons for Eastminster Presbyterian Church. While at Big Brothers conducted the largest single event fundraiser in Wichita history, generating $500,000 in pledges at a one hour event. Former board member and finance chair of the Sedgwick County Regional Prevention Center.

National leadership includes former South Central Region Director/board of directors and former webmaster of the US Army Ranger Association – a veteran non-profit organization.

Specialties: Identification of and solving problems. Adept at team building and task organization, sales force leadership, non-profit leadership, and fund-raising.
